Everything that Glitters Isn't Gold

Hello!!!

Good Wednesday! Today is not about fashion but about life! Life can sometimes suck. There I said it!! We've all been through ups and downs. Sometimes I feel like I have more downs than ups. Physically I am great but emotionally, mentally, and now financially I am a wreck inside. I feel at this point I can just be truthful to my readers. Life can be so hard when you know deep down inside you are destined for greatness but greatness does not seem to be in arms reach.

I quit my job. To fulfill my dreams of being my own boss and doing something I love in the name of fashion. In the beginning everything was great, my spirits were high, I felt ambitious, and I felt alive! Well that was a few months ago. I'm going into my 5th month and things are just so overwhelming. I know that this is not going to be easy owning my own business. Don't get me wrong I don't mind the hard work. However, it's hard feeling like you are doing it on your own. Yes, I have supporters and people that believe in me but I still feel alone.

Emotionally, I am lost! I often question will I ever find real love. Of course the love that wants me just as much as I want them. I know I should focus on my business and think about my love later. I have been single for a long time. I mean several lump some years. I am almost 32 with a yearning of a man's touch. The man that will be my photographer, my cheerleader, my rock! Lol! Am I being petty? No, of course he will be much more to me as I to him. Does he read my blogs? Does he motivate me to never give up? I want those things not only from my family but from my man.

Mentally, I am constantly thinking how to progress in my business. I try to maintain with adding new products for my lapel pin business for Notorious Fashion unLeashed for men. Keep this blog going for Classy Confident Curves and obtain clients and KEEP them for ViVi Style & Image, I have a lot going on with one person managing. How do I stay relevant, how do get my name out to the unknown, how????? I want to be successful not famous! I don't care if my face is ever seen on tv I just want people to know my styling work and name.

Financially, money is not coming easily when you are depending on people to need your services. In order to make money you have to spend money! They're bills that have to be paid and still have to have a life outside of working at home. Every buy is a life decision. Every month is a scare to which will I have enough to pay my bills. Quitting a job to gain a career is a very risky move. When you had a steady paycheck coming in to not having one now.

Overall, I will fight the good fight of being a superwoman. I just need to vent sometimes and let people know everything may seem great but it really isn't. Glitter doesn't mean you are the real MVP ALL THE TIME! You will go through pain before you reach pleasure. Keep praying, crying if you have to, praying some more and cry while you are praying. In due time my pleasure will exceed my own thoughts! I believe it. Writing this out has actually made me feel a little better. Another thing I do to feel good inside and out and get my confidence back on 100 is getting dressed. I let my clothes do the talking for me. So, today I wore the color Red. Warning I am not going down with a fight. I will fight for what I love to do. I will fight to make a name for myself. ViVi Style & Image is here and in a few years will be the most famous image consultanting business in the world. There I said that too!  Humph! Just in case you were Womdering what I'm wearing it's all from Forever 21 and earrings by me which can be purchased at www.viviaccessories.bigcartel.com

Early Morning Glow: Lularoe Collaboration Part 2

Good Morning,

Yes, I am up early enjoying this beautiful Tuesday. I was awaken by my family and I looked outside and I had to blog in the moment. The Sun hit the spot where the trees cascaded over the side streets and I needed this for my blog entry. What I am wearing today just automatically puts me in the mindset of me at some beach resort just finished getting married to the love of my life and we are on our honeymoon. This outfit speaks vacation, relaxation, and pure bliss. The colors, print, and how comfortable I felt in this Lularoe piece was EVERYTHING!

Last week I introduced to my readers a company by the name of Lularoe that provides exclusive clothing made in the USA to women of all shapes and sizes and even little girls. The company is based in Corona, CA. The fabric prints are designed only for Lularoe so there is no other print out there with the wonderful prints Lularoe provides; this in turns results in an immense variety of clothing. Not only can you shop from Lularoe who can also own your own business through Lularoe providing the very same clothing for purchase. You can have your very own clothing boutique in-house and in pop-up boutiques. This business can bring in around $1,400 a month depending how many pop-boutiques that are completed. When I first spoke about Lularoe I went into much detail about the company, their projected numbers etc.. Please read my last blog to get more details Click Here Introducing Lularoe Opportunity I will have the same contact information on this blog on how to get in contact with Sadi if you are interested in owning your own clothing boutique. I mean I am here for being a business woman. This is nothing but a dream come true to own your own, work at your own pace, and make $$$$. Sadi's email address is sadi.lularoe@gmail.com please email her for more information and jump start your own business.

Now lets talk about this skirt from Lularoe. This is called the "Azure" skirt. It has a Aztec print vibe to me with colors that I automatically fell in love with. These are once again some bold colors that stand out and draws your eyes directly to the skirt. This is A-line skirt that clings to your body and then has some flare near the bottom of the shirt. Once again no zippers or buttons that would make me feel constraint. I am free to go about my walk and the skirt never loses its shape. I added a gold belt to help separate the color of my top from the skirt. The next time I wear this I am thinking of doing a mix print version with leopard print shoes. I totally can see me and my love in the streets of Jamaica somewhere having a ball walking and loving the sites. With the wind blowing in my hair and under my skirt. LOL added a lil Marilyn Monroe touch to it. This is definitely a must have.

Adding Some Spring to My Jeans: Introducing Lularoe Opportunity

Hello Everyone!!!

I am so excited right at this very moment and best believe I want my everyday women to share in on this excitement as well but, first lets talk about this weather. Today was a little cooler and cloudy than the past few days but, my outfit brought out the sun like never before. I was too excited to get dressed today and show you ladies what I have in store that will become the greatest opportunity not only for me but for you. I have been given the opportunity to collaborate with Sadi Thompson who is an independent Lularoe business owner! What is Lularoe? Lularoe is a clothing line designed and made right here in the United States to cater to all women; no matter age, shape or size. Sounds good already right? The clothing from Lularoe is sold exclusively in home clothing parties, pop-up boutiques, and many other different events. What Lularoe provides is not only amazing clothing but it provides the wonderful opportunity for everyday women to OWN THEIR OWN retail business!!!! Even better without all the overhead, risk, and cost. This is the perfect job for the everyday woman; the mother, the student, or someone who loves fashion and making people feel good and look great.

Lularoe is currently manufacturing 35,000 pieces per week in the United States; the company is based in Corona, CA. The fabric prints are designed only for Lularoe so there is no other print out there with the wonderful prints Lularoe provides; this in turns results in an immense variety of clothing. More facts to consider is that Lularoe did 3 Million dollars in business its very first year, $9.8 Million last year and is already ahead of projections to do $30 Million this year. In 2016 the company is projecting to do $100 Million! Is this enough to get you on board? Need some more info? Okay lets talk dollar dollar bills ya'll! As a Lularoe business owner who does one pop-up boutique per week makes an average of $1,400 a month. Those who have the strong hustle game or better yet more free time can earn up to $5,600 if you do 3 to 4 boutiques. Once you jump on board you can look for others who have the same goals in mind to benefit by earning $1,000 a month, $5,000 a month, becoming a leader and owning your own business.

Lularoe is doing something that no one has ever done before with the clothing industry. Lularoe's business model is drawing attention from incredibly influential people that want to be a part of this company. I for one love clothes and money and to be able to collaborate with Sadi who also has a very close relationship with the owners and, is also on the president council I feel very much honored to be affiliated with Sadi and the Lularoe company.

Now lets take a look at some fashion. Today's blog features one piece from the Lularoe brand that was personally sent to me from Sadi. Its almost like she knew what I love; colors and prints. One thing I like to mention about their clothing they have the cutest names for each piece. The piece I am wearing is a floral print pencil skirt size 2 xl named Cassie. I love the fabric in the skirt the color palette is out of this world. This skirt can be dressed to go to church, out to your favorite brunch spot, or even to the beach. I love the fact that I am not feeling constraints in my skirt. Meaning there are no zippers or buttons but it is still form fitting. I can move freely and still look and feel stylish in this Lularoe "Cassie' Skirt, I am in LOVE!!!!! What is more awesome I could not choose which pair of shoes to wear with the skirt. I had to choose between three different colors. Which lets you realize this skirt can be worn in many different color paths. I love a piece of clothing that gives me options. This "Cassie" skirt will work for me in so many ways. I can wear a blazer to dress up or wear some stylish embellished flats to dress it down. You can add a basic color kimono for the beach look and much much more! Can you tell I am too excited.

A Versatile Woman: That's Who I am!

Good People How Are You?

I hope this blog finds you all doing well? Ladies, do you call yourself one dimensional or are you well balanced when it comes to fashion? For me fashion is EVERYTHING! I hear it or read all the time a woman saying they can't do a certain style because it will not look right with their body type. So to me I think some women are one dimensional when it comes to fashion. I love being versatile in my style of clothing. I never knock a style or a piece of clothing because I don't think it will work. Your style can have versatility; it doesn't always have to be one certain look all the time. I love skirts like I will pick up a skirt before I pick up jeans or anything else to wear. I wasn't always like that. Skirts shows off one of my best ASSets... Ha! got'em!!!! I'm so silly! I also love sneakers; when I can afford them. Most time we as women will wear sneakers with jeans or sweats. However, give me a great skirt that can be dressed down and pair it with sneakers; I'm all for it. This same skirt will be dressed up with a blazer and heels later. Being versatile is exactly what your clothes can do for you. Try it sometimes. You will enjoy the comfort, the street feel, and the class of wearing a girly outfit without the heels, sandals, or cute flats. Also I would like to take the time to shout out a beautiful woman inside and outside who I used to work with. We both came in together and pretty much left the company around the same time to pursue our own businesses. Her name is Tawanna and she is the owner of Ruby Lips LLC. She is in the business of making all natural handmade lipstick. She has several colors along with other products such as natural lip balm made with Shea butter. I tried the Pucker Up Purple which is her best seller. I love the case mine came in with the silver rhinestone design. This shade of purple is dark and vibrant at the same time. It stayed on all day and is very smooth going on. I am so so so proud of Tawanna. I definitely will be purchasing again. Her website is www.rubylipsllc.com

It's Spring...

Good Day,

It's Spring time and I never thought I had a favorite season until now. Spring is colorful, light, bright, and all smiles to me. With today's blog feature I believe I covered it all. I even have shoppable links to click on lol to purchase! Praise be to God for that! Since owning my own business; and knowing you have to spend money to make money I haven't had the extra funds to have extra fun. However, I splurged this month. It's too darn pretty outside not to. This outfit could be worn two ways with this peplum top; either inside or out. I much rather have the peplum inside the skirt. This way I give more attention  to the skirt because of its design. Also it shows a better figure since there was no belt involve with the fit. This pencil skirt is EVERYTHING! Purchased from JCP which has a great sale happening right now of 40% off. Its so bright and colorful when you walk into the store. This skirt has an elastic band so instead of me looking for my size I was able to get a size XL. This skirt is also part of a co-ords set. I did not want the top unless I wore it with something else besides this skirt.

I also mentioned I would do a review on my version of the Cinderella Shoe I purchased from LolaShoetique. All the colors the shoe came in attracted me to this shoe. Also I said I needed a Black pump. When I saw the plastic sides I was afraid that it would not have any room for my fat feet also, I went up a size just to be on the safe side. As soon as they came in the mail I immediately tried them on and no joke it felt like it was made just for my foot. I was Cinderella...lol. The shoe slipped right on and the walk in them is love. Now one thing I would mention make sure your feet are not ashy but at the same time dry enough so that your feet don't sweat and the shoe slips off. Other than that I love this shoe; I love the peak of fabric at the front of the shoe covering my toes. Link to skirt and shoes will be below. Happy Spring.

Giving Myself the Name The Remix Queen

Hello Everyone!!!

Soooo it's really late right now and I thought I was going to bed but I needed to get this blog update done. For me since I started this blog my audience was the EVERYDAY WOMAN and it still is. I stand by the everyday woman. The one who works 9 to 5 or whatever other crazy hours you may work. Been there done that! I'm here for the woman who takes care of her business no matter what it is. I believe an everyday woman may not always have the means to go out and SHOP until she drops because she has bills to pay or whatever the case may be. I'm here to let young women know your clothes do not have to be the same boring clothes all the time. You can remix your clothing to look like a brand new outfit! You have probably seen the IG post about making sure the clothes you wear have not been seen on IG. Honestly, I do not care if you see me in the same outfit. I guarantee though it will be remixed into a whole "notha" outfit lol! I love to shop for the new new but sometimes; especially as a single, new up and coming business owner, who gave up her cozy life of living on her own I can not always get that new new. Every now and then I may splurge, but guarantee that outfit will be worn AGAIN; but differently the next go round. Ladies, give your clothes a chance to work for you. I mean your worked hard for them. Now, this outfit was an inspirational piece from a woman from IG who can put together an outfit I believe with a blind fold and joker would be slammy. Her IG name is @stylebydnicole I have taken a few outfit looks to mock shortly! Remember
ladies make your clothes work for you!! Have a great day!! Xoxoxo
