When You Just Don't Fit In...The Crowd: Tip of the Week

Hey everyone!!!

Hope all is well. To the point! Forget them! Yeah the ones who are ready to dismiss your existence. The ones that will smile in your face and can't wait for you to turn around so they can talk about you. When you FINALLY realize people are not who you thought they were. I mean you put them up here when they really down here. LOL! Like you guys could really see that. You catch my drift. People are not going to like you no matter how good you look. How bad you can dress. They way you strut. They are waiting for you to fall, cry, stumble, mess up! Forget them yo! I mean to use this dialect when I talk about these people because they get on my damn nerves. Like seriously! Every flaw they find they will talk about you, and you have already accepted because its you and your body. When this sort of thing happens it means you just don't fit in the crowd. I love not fitting in because I am in my own space and on my own level. When they call you fat, tell them yeahhhh and I know this already what else can you say. Enough of that talk for today. Tip of the Week. When you still hold on to that freak'em dress that is just too short even for you. Like its inching up at every twist and turn. Don't give it away or never wear again just throw a skirt over it. This makes it suitable, comfortable, and even enjoyable to wear now that you don't have to pull it down on every step you take.

Ohhhh so you thought this was it! Fooled you didn't I!!!!

Classy Confident Curves: Tip of the Day

Hello Good People,

I hope all is well! I sometimes don't like doing a blog where I can't give links to the clothes I am wearing because they are no longer available for purchase. However, I still would like to give a small amount of advice about buying certain clothing. As plus size women the outside world sometimes doesn't know squat about the body. Some think we all where size FAT or something and we should wear nothing but black or potato sacks. Well you all know that ain't gonna happen, Surprisingly, plus size women can wear other sizes such as straight sizes. I spoke last week on Instagram about a skirt that was a size XL where I am an actually size 2x sometimes 3x but was able to wear that XL skirt. Well today's outfit the skirt was a medium. Being blessed to have somewhat of a hourglass shape my waist is measured around 42 inches and with the help of elastic or spandex; sky's the limit. I will have a ball in the straight size section of any store when elastic and spandex is involved. Also ladies don't shoot first before questioning if indeed you can wear a piece of clothing. Try it on first before you go doubting yourself about a piece of clothing. I know I pray as I try on something just in case I am unsure. That's my Tip of the Day. Oh my brother was pictured with me we were matching and he was feeling himself.

The only time I am his height when I wear heels.

Free, Fabulous, and Confident: Style Symposium of NC

Hey Ladies!!

Hope all is well with everyone who is reading. Today, I wanted to briefly share my experience this past weekend where I attended the Style Symposium hosted by ByKikSol. This event was on the second day of the Spring season and what I saw among all these lovely ladies was Freedom, being Fabulous, and Confident in our own skin. Once arriving to the event I was greeted by so many lovely faces and the colors in the room was mind blowing. With the best miniature cupcakes I ever tasted lol Everyone looked so bright and lovely. This was my kind of event. When you entered the conference room it wasn't like most conference rooms with tables and chairs. This conference room was set up for a live studio audience episode of Oprah or something. I mean couches for the women to sit, eat, and chat about confidence and style. To know this event will continue just make me excited about the next one. Being able to meet these ladies Tierany and Nekeyeta in person made me feel great to be among women with the same ideas and passion about fashion, confidence, and owning who we are as women. I would love to go into more details about the panel of women who spoke and shared their knowledge about style and confidence but I rather just show what these women look like and how beautiful they all are.
The best cupcakes EVERRRRRRR

The Classy Confident Curves Movement

Hello Ladies!!

First off North Carolina weather is so disrespectful! It was 70 degrees for the past three days with hardly any sun and then it went down to the low 60s with plenty of sun. LOL don't you just love this NC weather. Well it could not have stopped me today to introduce my new t-shirt line. I want to introduce "Classy Confident Curves" t-shirts. I believe this shirt is not only cute but it also solidifies what you are about. A classy woman is what we all strive to be with our confidence on 1000 all while flaunting our curves. It must be understood that women can have curves for days and still be classy and confident. It must be understood that there is a such thing as classy curves. Women do not have to wear less to show off their curves. Most women can wear certain clothing and still be considered classy with the curves. The shirt will let everyone know how Classy and Confident your Curves are. I hope that you will join me in the Classy Confident Curve movement! These shirts I believe will go far and wide to be worn by so many beautiful women who believe in what I believe Classy Confident Curves really means. So without further waiting on me talk, talk and talk here is the outfit of the day.

Something OLD, Something NEW, Something BORROWED, and Something BLUE

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Man I am so happy to be blogging today and talking to you guys. It felt so good to get dressed today and to do a blog feature. I mean with all the cold weather and snow I guess I was feeling blue. NOW its warm and somewhat sunny outside so I had to take advantage of this weather before it rains today. I looked at my blog and saw that its been a full month since I last posted anything. The main reason again was the weather but I have other reasons. Good reasons might I add. First, I am now the owner and CEO of ViVi Style & Image, an image consultant and personal styling company ready to "Brand Your Image". This service has been created to help both men and women. Classy Confident Curves helps to inspire my women and not just plus size women. Where Notorious Fashion unLeashed was created to assist my men folk in finding inspiration in their clothing as well. Both inspirational groups will fall under ViVi Style & Image and create the circle of Confidence, Fashion, and an Image that is you. I am not here to change anyone but to bring out the person you want people to see and fall in love with. Think of it as an enhancement of self. The title of this blog talks about my outfit and the added confidence I am borrowing from women who are still looking to gain theirs back. The dress I have on is something OLD; I bought last year from Forever 21. I love this little dress because its easy to dress, its comfortable, and I mean I feel cute. What is NEW is this Striped see-through crop top I purchased from Target, I found this on the clearance rack; which is the first area I shop for clothing. I love shopping Target's clearance rack I am never disappointed. Something BORROWED is the confidence that has been left from women all over who are not ready to embrace their body and beauty. Being a plus size woman and seeing how far we've come makes me smile. Surprisingly, there are still women who do no have the confidence to love who they are and let the world know it. So in the meantime with the already huge amount of confidence I have for myself I am going to borrow the confidence that has not yet been picked up you! You rather me have this confidence than someone who speaks negatively and bashes women like us for loving ourselves. Something BLUE this color dress I fell in love with; also the color blue represents: Confidence, Trust, Loyalty, Faith, and Wisdom. What's better than when your clothes represent who are.
