Happy Birthday Edition

So lately I have been told I do not look the age I will be turning in the next few days! That is such a great feeling to know you do not look your actual age. I have always have been honest about my age. Never been ashamed to say I am in my 30s. It is even better when you do not feel your age as well. May 30th is a special day for me of course because it is my birthday. I grew up celebrating birthdays because it is known as your day. I can say each year turning a year older can be a mind blowing experience especially when you start looking over your past and your future. Wondering could I had done something different or changed something about myself. Currently, at my age career, courtship/marriage, and family have been really heavy on my mind. They talk about this biological clock ticking and if I have one oh its BANGING. At the same time I will not rush into just anything. When my times come I will be more than happy, ready, and willing. Sooooooo in the meantime lets talk about plus size fashion. This sequin outfit I found just browsing my favorite store; maybe one of my top 5 favorite stores. One week I found the top in the clearance section and decided to bypass it. Then I went maybe a few weeks later and saw the skirt with the same top and I just had to get it and it was on the clearance rack SCORE! Sequin is one piece that I have never own in my life. I have always wanted to try to see if its for me. Lets just say I will be adding more to my closet. The one bad thing about sequin is that it can be uncomfortable on your skin. It kind of sticks into your skin making it a little itchy but its still a must have for me. Also the shoes were another must have. Link will be under the picture. Now this blog will be a little bit of truth along with details on the outfit itself. When I was editing the pictures for this particular post I looked at the chalk drawing on the sidewalk and read the words drawn out. Words like Love Life Free and Hope these are words that I still hold dear to my heart. Looking at turning 31 in 8 days I often wonder am I missing out truly on life and will I ever really experience love like a woman should. Freedom is something I believe I have had since I begin thinking for myself and not letting others tell me how to think. I am not held in bondage by others or society on how a Black woman should act and what we should think to gain attention from the wrong crowds. Like I've said before I march to the beat of my own drum. I believe I lived a great life so far but as I get older my urge to get out and just do has died down. I need to add that extra POP back in my life like I did in this outfit. I need to spice up my life just a tad bit. I vow to get out and just do even if it is by myself. Dressing up and getting out into the world is my mission. I will not grow old with a full closet of clothes with nowhere to go. I also be DAMNED if I have 20 cats running around me as I have been told lol (INSIDER). Being a 30+ woman the dating game is dry and I know half of that is my fault. I plan on changing that as well. The TuTu Trend the Plus Size Version

First off let me just say hello again!!!! I am so happy to be back in the world of blogging and to show off what I am wearing here each and every week (hopefully)...lol! Let's get started!!! So part 2 I remixed the Forever 21 bodysuit and shoes with this purple tutu. Yes, there is this awesome trend going on within the plus size community wearing tutu or tulles and I fell in love. I had to hop, jump, and roll right into this particular trend. It brings me back to when I was 7 and 8 years old and I was a ballet and tap dancer. We use to wear our little tutus and dance around. I never thought that I would ever wear a tutu again. Well I was wrong!!! I am 30 years young and felt like a little school girl all over again in this very vibrant purple tutu. Okay so once again I was very skeptical about getting this skirt because of the length and all my glorious BOOTY and I tried to measure myself as far as length; this time I was wrong BUT I made it work. NO harm in admitting I could not wear this out too many places. LOL!! However, I still enjoyed taking these pictures and feeling like a kid again hanging out at the park. I didn't want the skirt to be too long but not as short either. So I got to show off my tree trunks I called legs and my thick thighs! I really enjoyed the look of the purple with the turquoise top and shoes. Also I cannot forget to mention the lip color I was rocking in these pictures. I love this color purple! This shade is also vibrant and long lasting and does not cake up in between my lips as I experience this a lot with a few other lipsticks. This is my first go to lip color when its time for me to get ready for the day. I love the way it stands out and looks so good against my skin color. SHE IS BACK!!!!!!

HELLO ladies its been a long time but I am back and ready to get back to work. Ive had so many adversities to hit me and to seem to hit all at once. This last rollercoaster ride I was on was the last straw. I will no longer let the downfalls of life or the people in it deter me from what I love. Its back to me and what makes me happy and it never lets me down and thats fashion!!!!!
