Yona New York Collab Take Two

Hello again!!! Coming through once again with another piece from the Yona New York collection. If you have taken the time to read my blog before this you would have read that I did a review on the Yona New York drape maxi skirt which I LOVED! Also I previously mentioned this particular clothing line has three mini collections. This vibrant and bold floral asymmetrical dress is part of the Floral Collection.

The Yona New York Floral Collection was created in a supple poly charmeuse. This dress is soft to the touch and very comfortable. This is a dress that can also be worned during the Spring. This dress is a drape dress cut on a diagonal for a slimming effect with a matching belt with one short sleeve and one long which I think I love the most about this dress. This style dress comes in three different color palettes-- pink/lavender, green/beige/rose, and purple/blue. 

Going back to the fabric of this dress which I mentioned is soooooo soft to the touch. Easy to put on and it also has 5% spandex which I was amazed by. From the look of it you would think there was no give to this type of dress. Even my mother was amazed that this dress turned out to look great on me. The added belt helps in given a more SNATCHED appearence. I also love the fact that you dont have to be afraid to add more color with your accessories and shoes. Thats were your sense of style kicks in.

Fashion is in the air! Hi everyone, I hope you guys are doing great. I wanted to reach out to my readers from far and wide and talk about an awesome designer based out of Brooklyn, New York who had a dream of creating classy, comfortable, and effortless fashion for plus size women. I had the great pleasure of doing a feature collaboration with Yona New York. 

Yona New York debuted its collection in the Fall of 2015 with pieces created for women sizes 14W to 24W. Yona created this line with the woman in mind and how we all want to look and feel good. Whether its at work or a night out on the town. These pieces can be dressed either way to get the most out of your clothing. Yona Love the designer and founder felt women in the plus size community needed pieces that exuded sophiscation by wearing bold florals to pinstriped wools and much more. Within the fall line Yona New York has three mini collections. Each piece and collection has its on story. Along with these three collections Yona also features some flattering seperates such as the maxi skirt featured on today's blog with front draping and pockets to give the body a slimming effect.

This drape maxi skirt is EVERYTHING a plus size woman needs! The drape effect absolutely gives you an effortless sense of style. All I had to do was pair it with a blazer and top and I was good to go. The drape effect also gives me the slimming effect in my mid section which any plus size with extra loving would admire like myself. This skirt has POCKETS, if you know me when it comes to skirts pockets are a MUST. The skirt is light weight but still with great quality fabric so no lining is needed. This skirt comes in two colors black and grey. I may need the black pretty soon. This skirt is great for work and a night out. 

When I think of effortless style this piece defintely hits the spot. All I had to do is put on the skirt and boom I was set. When I think of style most women do not believe they know what goes well together but, with Yona New York's collection the hard part is worked out for you. The woman just gets dressed. I am defintely an advocate and believer that plus size women have the right to look and feel classy with the clothes she is wearing. Adding Some Spring to My Jeans: Introducing Lularoe Opportunity

Hello Everyone!!!

I am so excited right at this very moment and best believe I want my everyday women to share in on this excitement as well but, first lets talk about this weather. Today was a little cooler and cloudy than the past few days but, my outfit brought out the sun like never before. I was too excited to get dressed today and show you ladies what I have in store that will become the greatest opportunity not only for me but for you. I have been given the opportunity to collaborate with Sadi Thompson who is an independent Lularoe business owner! What is Lularoe? Lularoe is a clothing line designed and made right here in the United States to cater to all women; no matter age, shape or size. Sounds good already right? The clothing from Lularoe is sold exclusively in home clothing parties, pop-up boutiques, and many other different events. What Lularoe provides is not only amazing clothing but it provides the wonderful opportunity for everyday women to OWN THEIR OWN retail business!!!! Even better without all the overhead, risk, and cost. This is the perfect job for the everyday woman; the mother, the student, or someone who loves fashion and making people feel good and look great.

Lularoe is currently manufacturing 35,000 pieces per week in the United States; the company is based in Corona, CA. The fabric prints are designed only for Lularoe so there is no other print out there with the wonderful prints Lularoe provides; this in turns results in an immense variety of clothing. In 2016 the company is projecting to do $100 Million! Is this enough to get you on board? Need some more info? Okay lets talk dollar dollar bills ya'll! As a Lularoe business owner who does one pop-up boutique per week makes an average of $1,400 a month. Those who have the strong hustle game or better yet more free time can earn up to $5,600 if you do 3 to 4 boutiques. Once you jump on board you can look for others who have the same goals in mind to benefit by earning $1,000 a month, $5,000 a month, becoming a leader and owning your own business.

Lularoe is doing something that no one has ever done before with the clothing industry. Lularoe's business model is drawing attention from incredibly influential people that want to be a part of this company. I for one love clothes and money and to be able to collaborate with Sadi who also has a very close relationship with the owners and, is also on the president council I feel very much honored to be affiliated with Sadi and the Lularoe company.

Now lets take a look at some fashion. Today's blog features one piece from the Lularoe brand that was personally sent to me from Sadi. Its almost like she knew what I love; colors and prints. One thing I like to mention about their clothing they have the cutest names for each piece. The piece I am wearing is a floral print pencil skirt size 2 xl named Cassie. I love the fabric in the skirt the color palette is out of this world. This skirt can be dressed to go to church, out to your favorite brunch spot, or even to the beach. I love the fact that I am not feeling constraints in my skirt. Meaning there are no zippers or buttons but it is still form fitting. I can move freely and still look and feel stylish in this Lularoe "Cassie' Skirt, I am in LOVE!!!!! What is more awesome I could not choose which pair of shoes to wear with the skirt. I had to choose between three different colors. Which lets you realize this skirt can be worn in many different color paths. I love a piece of clothing that gives me options. This "Cassie" skirt will work for me in so many ways. I can wear a blazer to dress up or wear some stylish embellished flats to dress it down. You can add a basic color kimono for the beach look and much much more! Can you tell I am too excited.

Free, Fabulous, and Confident: Style Symposium of NC

Hey Ladies!!

Hope all is well with everyone who is reading. Today, I wanted to briefly share my experience this past weekend where I attended the Style Symposium hosted by ByKikSol. This event was on the second day of the Spring season and what I saw among all these lovely ladies was Freedom, being Fabulous, and Confident in our own skin. Once arriving to the event I was greeted by so many lovely faces and the colors in the room was mind blowing. With the best miniature cupcakes I ever tasted lol Everyone looked so bright and lovely. This was my kind of event. When you entered the conference room it wasn't like most conference rooms with tables and chairs. This conference room was set up for a live studio audience episode of Oprah or something. I mean couches for the women to sit, eat, and chat about confidence and style. To know this event will continue just make me excited about the next one. Being able to meet these ladies Tierany and Nekeyeta in person made me feel great to be among women with the same ideas and passion about fashion, confidence, and owning who we are as women. I would love to go into more details about the panel of women who spoke and shared their knowledge about style and confidence but I rather just show what these women look like and how beautiful they all are.

The Classy Confident Curves Movement

Hello Ladies!!

First off North Carolina weather is so disrespectful! It was 70 degrees for the past three days with hardly any sun and then it went down to the low 60s with plenty of sun. LOL don't you just love this NC weather. Well it could not have stopped me today to introduce my new t-shirt line. I want to introduce "Classy Confident Curves" t-shirts. I believe this shirt is not only cute but it also solidifies what you are about. A classy woman is what we all strive to be with our confidence on 1000 all while flaunting our curves. It must be understood that women can have curves for days and still be classy and confident. It must be understood that there is a such thing as classy curves. Women do not have to wear less to show off their curves. Most women can wear certain clothing and still be considered classy with the curves. UN-Bothered

Hey Ladies!!!

I hope everyone is doing well. Today's blog is featuring two pieces that I have become in love with. When I purchased these items I had no thought to wear them together. However, it turned out to be an awesome look might I add. Being the size I am and doing this blog thing along with the people I have met over social media I become UN-BOTHERED! Best believe its in a great way. I am UN-bothered by caring what anyone has to say about pretty much anything at this point. We all know people have an opinion about EVERYTHING. If they won't hold their tongue then why should I care if anyone likes me for me and how I roll. I'm just UN-bothered! I wear shiny clothing, crop tops, and body suits (which brings attention)...I'm UN-bothered! I wear 2 piece swimwear during the Summer...I'm UN-bothered! I show belly...I'm UN-bothered! I wear bight colors because I'm UN-bothered! I will wear bold prints why? I'm UN-bothered. Anything they say a plus size woman should not wear I will make sure its done...I stay UN-bothered! I will remain UN-bothered! Its a good feeling because you are not living up to anyone standard but your own. I hope those women who are still in their shells to come on out and just be UN-bothered because you can be careful all your life and still be talked about and pointed at! You know my motto! Flaunt your feathers honey! This is what Classy Confident Curves is all about! Now on to the feature.

One Year Anniversary of Classy Confident Curves

YESSSSS!!!!

What an awesome way to complete my first year of starting my blog than to celebrate what my blog stands for by wearing the very print that defines Classy Confident Curves. Like I stated a peacock spreads his feathers to gain attention and shows confidence in who he is to attract a female. Although, the roles are switched I still live by the definition and understanding of how a peacock lives. I wanted to feature a bad ass dress that I had the chance of seeing Kelly Augustine/Essie Golden's collaboration look book that was featured.

This one year has been nothing but amazing. I am so blessed that I have been able to motivate and inspire other women to live life spreading their own feathers of confidence. That is what Classy Confident Curves is all about. I had to make sure that this blog was dated on August 9th to show how  loyal I am to this blog and will continue working hard for the years to come!

I plan on growing in more ways that one on being a better person inside and out. This blog has helped me spread my feathers an inch at a time. My self confidence has sky rocketed in the past year than ever before. I believe one year shows dedication, hard work, and loyalty not only to myself but to those who follow either this blog or even on Instagram where most of my followers see me. I want to say A BIG THANK YOU to those of you who actually take the time to read every word that I type on this blog. It means so much to me!!! I LOVE YOU ladies and gent ;) (insider) I thank you for the uplift, having my back,for those of you putting up with me when taking my pics. A big shout out to Marquita Wood for giving me the chance to style her. Daniel Harrison for taking some great pictures. Tamara Covington for coming out in the rain in the Bull City to find the perfect place to make my one year anniversary for my blog count.
